On the proposal for a Directive on combating violence against women and domestic violence

The above signed organisations (ILGA-Europe, TGEU, EL*C, IGLYO and OII Europe), regional networks fighting for the rights of LGBTI people, including LBTI women across Europe and Central Asia, welcome the Commission’s proposal for a directive on combating violence against women and domestic violence. However, we consider certain elements need to be strengthened, added, or amended, to ensure that the directive will achieve its objective of being fully inclusive, also for LGBTI people and particularly LBTI women.
