Ahead of the June 2024 European Parliament Elections, OII Europe has developed an info leaflet that raises awareness on the importance of casting your vote and contributing to the democratic process.
The leaflet clearly sets out the role that the European Parliament can play in advancing intersex rights at EU-level, as well as looking back and highlighting some of the important advancements that have already been achieved by theEuropean Parliament.
In addition, OII Europe has developed a short questionnaire that can be used by national organisations and activists to ask candidates running in the elections what they plan to do to stand up for intersex rights in the EU if they are to be elected.
The questionnaire can be used to ask candidates to commit to ensuring a future Europe that’s fully committed to democracy, equality, bodily integrity & the right to self-determination and freedom for all intersex people.
